Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association Saani Diara says the Black Stars will not play any friendly ahead of the second leg World Cup qualifier against Egypt.

The Stars walloped the Pharaohs by six goals to one in the first leg game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The Egyptians have lined up a friendly against Zambia before they take on the Stars but Ibrahim Saani has told XYZ Sports that playing any Competitive game ahead of the Egypt tie might be detrimental to the team’s aspirations.

“We don’t have any plans of playing any friendly match” Saanie told XYZ Sports

“Most of our players are based in Europe, they would have played the weekend before the match and we think any exercise in playing any competitive friendly match might be detrimental to our aspirations” he added

“We can get a mild preparation with a lower division side because it helps in team tactics and confidence”

“I can confidently say that we will not play any friendly match before the game against the Egyptians”
