The self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, aka Shatta Wale, has apologized to the organizers of Ghana Music Awards, Charter House for wrongly accusing them of awarding Kaakie the ‘Reggae Dance Hall Song of the Year’, which according to him was not fit for her.

“I really want to apologize to Charter House because I never knew they love me so much… I just want to say I’m very sorry,” he said.

In May, Shata Wale took to the various social media sites venting his anger at the organizers of the Ghana Music Awards (Charter House) because, according to him, Kaakie did not deserve the award.

He rendered his apology while performing at this year’s Ghana Rocks, on December 27, after he invited the event director of Charter House and host of The Pundit on GhOne, George Quaye, on the stage.

Shatta Wale said, “I want you to bear with me that in this industry we love ourselves and we love Ghana. Tell them Shatta Wale is sorry. Not that I want an award but I feel we have to continue. I love you people.”

Mr. Quaye in his response said, “You know, I think this is a big surprise and is one of the matured things I’ve seen this gentleman do. Ladies and gentlemen, two fingers up in the air for Shatta Wale. We accept your apology.”
