Shatta Wale tells fans: expect my collaboration with Samini
Shatta Wale and Samini have been tagged as rivals, fueled by frequent diss tracks exchanged between the two artistes.
Speaking on the Diva Show on TV3, the Dancehall King hit-maker complained about how show organizers in Ghana do not allow artistes to perform with their own bands. He said if Samini had performed with his own band at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), he would have delivered more than he did.
“Let me say, Samini also came on stage. I found out that, that wasn’t his band. Because if it was his band, he was gonna deliver so good. You know, because when I watch him with his own band, I like the way he performs. So sometimes, this is what the promoters need to check.”
When Nana Aba, the presenter of the programme asked him, “when are you doing a song with Samini,” Shatta Wale answered, “Samini? – Oh, we working on it, don’t worry, [it would be a ] surprise! I’m an artiste and I need to work with all the great artistes in Ghana. I like him you know,” he added.
Shatta Wale who also won the VGMA Most Popular Song of the Year, took a shot at Nigerian artiste, Iyanya for putting up a bad performance at the Ghana Music Awards.
“You wouldn’t come and stand on chairs… then shake his waist. What waist, everybody has waist, me self i have waist.”
