Asamoah Gyan says he is fit to play active football
Black Stars and Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan has solely stated that he is fully fit to return to first team action with his club.
The Black Stars captain has been out of action for four-weeks after suffering a thigh injury in one of Al Ain league games.
Gyan currently plays in the UAE League with Al Ain and has been phenomenal winning numerous awards. He was awarded the best foreign player in the UEA league last week.
The injury automatically ruled him out of Ghana’s 2015 Afcon qualifiers against Uganda and Togo.
However, the reigning UAE best foreign player says he is now fit to play active football.
“I feel very good now. I have been working with the ball for some time now and I think I am ready to play,” he said.
“Even I wanted to play in the game against Togo but the doctor thought it was a big risk to take so I didn’t play.
The Black Stars of Ghana qualified for the 2015 AFCON tourney after beating Togo by 3 goals to 0ne in Tamale last week Wednesday.
Ghana went into the game missing three of its key players including Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah and Andre Ayew through an injury.
