Asamoah Gyan says he will play for Kotoko before retiring.
Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has confirmed that he will play for Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko before hanging his boots.
The 28-year-old hit-man has been a strong supporter of the Kumasi based club and as he target ending his footballing career with Asante Kotoko.
Gyan currently plays in the UAE League with Al Ain and has been phenomenal winning numerous awards in his two and half year stay with the “BOSS”.
Gyan last week was awarded the best foreign player in the UEA league.
But the Black Stars captain says he will play for Asante Kotoko before hanging his boots despite having played for Liberty Professionals.
“I still follow Liberty but I am a strong Kotoko fan,” he said.
“I have always been a Kotoko fan and I will play for them before I retire.”
If Asamoah Gyan’s decision comes to reality he will be the second Gyan to come from the Gyan family to wear the RED shirt after his senior brother Baffour Gyan played for Kotoko before retiring.
