Ivor Kobbina Greenstreet, the General Secretary of the Conventions People’s Party (CPP) has mustered the courage to tell President Mahama and the NDC that Ghanaians are not ‘feeling’ the better Ghana they promised.

Speaking at the 8th delegates’ congress organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi on Saturday, Greenstreet advised the NDC to be stronger, better and united for a better Ghana.

“The reason you have to be stronger, better and united for a better Ghana is that currently, nobody, I mean nobody, N.O.B.O.D.Y…nobody is feeling your better Ghana,” he said.

According to him, the Mahama administration is characterized by corruption which is “suffocating the Ghanaian people.”

Mr. Greenstreet further stated that he thought the NDC would use such an occasion to discuss national policies but they rather decided to share their Christmas gifts with each other. He described this year’s Christmas as “too dry” due to unprecedented economic hardship in the country.

“We would have thought that perhaps you would have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation. But no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other. Ghanaians are not happy at all. This bronya is dry, too too dry.”

The General Secretary of the CPP ended his solidarity message by advising the NDC to elect executives who will be able to steer the party’s affairs when they are in opposition.

Ivor Kobbina Greenstreet- solidarity message to the NDC

“It is an important day for the NDC, important but to emerge stronger, better and united for a better Ghana. The reason you have to be stronger, better and united for a better Ghana is that currently, nobody, I mean nobody, N.O.B.O.D.Y…nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”

“Continuous dumsor, dumsor [power outage]. Corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out and all the challenges you are facing is suffocating the Ghanaian people.”

“We would have thought that perhaps you would have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation. But no you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other. Ghanaians are not happy at all. This bronya is dry, too too dry.”

“So, the most painful thing of all is that you don’t care. ‘Yoo’ NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you. Do what you want to do, we also know what we will come and do.”

“So as I wish you well to elect your executives, make sure you elect executives who will be able to steer your party’s affairs when you are in opposition. I wish you a Merry Christmas, afihyiapa. Boys abre, Boys abre.”
