2015 AFCON: Senegal beat Ghana, Algeria too much for South Africa
The 2015 AFCON tourney continues has it entered its day three yesterday which saw two matches in Group C.
The first match was between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Teranaga Lions of Senegal. The Stars lost by 2 goals to 1.
It was the Black Stars who opened the scoring from the spot in the 14th minute, thanks to Andre Ayew neat finish.
But the Senegalese started the second half as the strongest side by dictating the pace of the game as in the 58th minute Biram Diouf leveled the scoring for the Teranga Lions. The second half substitute Mousa Sow struck the winner for Senegal late in the game to end the game 2-1 advantage Senegal.
In the other Group C game, complacent South Africa lost 3-1 to Algeria. The South Africa took the lead in the 51st minute through Thuso Phala but Algeria grew in confidence as they struck 3 times to win the game 3 -1.
