Agyemang Badu elated with Ghana’s determination and Mentality
Black Stars of Ghana midfielder, Agyemang Badu has heaped praise on his team mates for their determination and mentality in Ghana’s hard fought 2-1 win over South Africa in the final Group C games in the ongoing AFCON tourney last Tuesday.
The Black Stars rallied from a goal down to beat South Africa to seal their Quarter-finals ticket as goals came from substitute John Boye and Andre Ayew.
The Black Stars second Group game against the Dessert foxes of Algeria saw the four time Africa championships leave it late to win the day thanks to Asamoah Gyan last gasp strike.
Agyemang Badu in Tuesday’s fixture started the game from the bench as he was full of energy when he was brought on, he somehow cemented Ghana’s midfielder as the Black Stars searches for the equalizer and also the winner.
The Udinese star man was full of praise on his team mate for their mentality and determination in their last two games – “We played the game with a lot of determination, as you could see we played most of the second half in their half and we got the result for it,” Agyemnag Badu told MTNFootball.
“We are so happy that we are through to the quarter finals and now we just have to relax and wait for our next opponent.”
The Black Stars of Ghana will know their Quarter-finals opponent after Group D games on Wednesday.
