Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Avram Grant has named 26 players out of the initial 31-man provisional list for Spain camping ahead of the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.

Ghana will travel to Seville in Spain this evening for the 2015 AFCON preparation before jetting off to Equatorial Guinea.

The continent’s flagship championship will officially kick start on 17th January, 2015.

The 26 players that got selected by the coach of the side are the three Goalkeepers – Fatau Dauda, Razak Braimah and Ernest Sowah.

Defenders – John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Jeffery Schlupp,Samuel Inkoom,Harrison Afful, Baba Rahman, Awal Mohammed, Kwabena Adusei and Daniel Amartey.

Midfielders – Edwin Gyimah, Afriyie Acquah,Agyemang Badu, Mubarak Wakaso, Rabiu Mohammed, Christian Atsu, Solomon Asante,Ibrahim Moro, Andre Ayew, Frank Acheampong.

Strikers – Asamoah Gyan, Kwesi Appiah, David Accam and Jordan Ayew.

However, Avram Grant is still observing the injury situation of striker Majeed Waris who was named as part of the initial 31-man provisional squad.

The squad will further be pruned down to 23 players as the deadline date for the presentation of the final squad is 7th January, 2015.

The Black Stars will be pitching camp in Spain for ten days before jetting off to Equatorial Guinea on January 14 as Ghana’s first game is on the 19th January, 2015 against the Teranga Lions of Senegal.
