Ex Ghana captain Stephen retires from football
Ex Black Stars of Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah has officially retires from active football after two decades.
Appiah during his play days was regarded as a unifier and a great leader as he became the first captain in Ghana’s history to qualify the country to its maiden World Cup in 2006.
In Stephen Appiah press statement, the former Fernabache and Juventus star man re-collect his his wonderful achievement during his reign as the Black Stars of Ghana captain by qualifying the nation to two different World Cup in 2006 and 2010.
The 32 year old now ex footballer also recounted his youthful days while playing for Hearts of Oak and the national U-17 team the Black Satellite of Ghana.
Stephen Appiah last official tournament he played for Ghana was in the 2010 World cup in South Africa.
