The quarter-finals game of the 2015 AFCON came off on Saturday as DR Congo beat Congo Brazzaville 4-2 whilst host nation, Equatorial Guinea came from a goal down to beat Tunisia 2-1 after extra time.

The first game of the quarter-finals saw 6 goals thriller between DR Congo and Congo Brazzaville which all the goals came in the second half.

Congo Brazzaville took a two goal lead in the 55th and 62nd minute courtesy Ferebory Dore and Thiery Bifouma but DR Congo aggressively fought back to struck four times through Dieurmaci Mbokani(2), Jeremy Bokila and Joel Mpela to book their ticket in the Semi-finals.

In the next game, host nation, Equatorial Guinea rallied from a goal down to beat Tunisia 2-1.

The North Africa side took the lead in the 70th minute after Ahmed Akaichi connected from a well taken cross from the right, the host leave it to restore parity from the spot thanks to Javier Balboa to push the game to extra time.

The hero of the day, Javier Balboa registered his brace on the day in the 101st minute with a delicious free-kick which eventually qualifies the team to their first Semi-finals in AFCON championship.
