The Black Stars of Ghana were given a ‘RED CARPET’ welcome in Accra at the Kotoko International Airport on Monday on their arrival from the just ended AFCON tourney after placing second.
Ghana lost 9-8 on penalty shoot-outs after 120 minutes scintillating goalless draw game on Sunday in Equatorial Guinea.
On the team’s arrival on Monday at the Kotoko International Airport they were received by the Vice-President of Ghana, Paa Kwesi Ammissah Arthur.
The Vice-President after receiving the gallant stars at the airport said:
“The playing body and the technical team have made all of us proud, we didn’t expect the team to go far and we did.
“The entire Nation wants you to keep your head up and cheer up because you were the best among the rest of the team’s, we are glad you didn’t fail but you made a statement for us all to see”.
