GFA Exco lauds Black Stars performance at 2015 AFCON
The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association has lauded the Black Stars of Ghana for their outstanding performance at the just ended 2015 AFCON tourney staged by Equatorial Guinea.
The Executive Committee met on Tuesday in Accra to review Ghana’s participation at the 2015 AFCON tourney.
The Black Stars went into the competition from the backdrop of the Brazil debacle but the four time Africa champions defile all odds after losing 2-1 in their opening game to Senegal to get into the finals of the competition which they lost the trophy to Ivory Coast on a penalty shoots-out.
However, the Executive Committee in their assessment[on Tuesday] of the team’s performance congratulated the team for their outstanding outputs.
“I can confirm to you that the Executive Committee is highly satisfied with the performance of the Black Stars. They exceedingly impressed by the performance of the team at the Africa Cup of Nations.” GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi said at a press conference after the Exco meeting.
“We also congratulate Mr. Avram Grant for the sterling performance with the team despite taking over in a very short time”, he added.
