Ghana’s trio wins Alfa Cup with AC Tripoli in Lebanon


Ghana’s trio of Michael Helegbe, Douglas Nkrumah and Emmanuel Teyehugmeh has won the Alfa Lebanese cup with AC Tripoli on Tuesday after their 2-1 defeat over Nejmeh SC.

The trio started and played the entire duration of the game as they have been in a superb form for the Lebanese side since joining the club this season on a one year loan featuring in all the league games and the Alfa Lebanese Cup.
With AC Tripoli chasing their first silverware in ten years, the Tripoli based club run over Nejmeh SC in the Alfa Lebanese cup as their opponent succumbed to a 2-1 defeat with Michael Helegbe scoring a spectacular 42 yard goal in the 59th minute mark of the game.

AC Tripoli at the end of the season finished fourth on the log sheet with 32 points in 22 games as the former Asante Kotoko attacking midfielder, Michael Helegbe won the top scorer award with 16 goals.
