Avram Grant lauds Black Stars performance after thrashing Mauritius 7-1
Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Avram Grant has lauded his side for exhibiting great piece of football in mauling Mauritius in the 2017 Afcon qualifier at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.
The Black Stars of Ghana went rampant as they outplayed Mauritius by beating their opponent seven goals to one, goals courtesy, Christian Atsu, Asamoah Gyan, Jordan Ayew,Jeffrey Schlupp and David Accam and a consolation goal by Sophie J.
And Coach Avram Grant says he is elated with the output of the Black Stars which according to him his lads exhibited great piece of football in the first department of the game.
“We played good football especially in the first half. That was our target, to kill the game in the first half to show there is a difference between the two teams not on paper but on the pitch”, Grant said at the post-match interview.
“And the players did a good job. We could have scored more goals but I am happy. Of course in every game we can do better but the most important thing is to continue in the atmosphere and the spirit we played in the African Cup”, he added.
Ghana currently top group H table with a better goal advantage over Rwanda who also beat Mozambique 1-0 in an away game on Sunday.
