Ghana’s Michael Helegbe on target in AC Tripoli home draw
Ghana’s Michael Helegbe has made his intensions clear in the opening day of the Lebanese top-flight by hitting the back of the net in AC Tripoli home draw with Al Ansar on Friday.
Helegbe last season won the top-scorer award and the most valuable player at the end of the Lebanese football season.
With his quality he has been the leading marks man for AC Tripoli and on Friday in the opening day fixture in the Lebanese top-flight he was handed a starting role which he scored his side’s first goal of the season.
However, the home side failed to protect their lead as Al Ansar struck the equalizer to end the game 1-1.
In the game was three Ghanaians, Michael Helegbe and Abdul Yusif played for AC Tripoli while Ex Kotoko captain, Michael Akuffo was in Al Ansar shirt.
After the game Michael Helegbe wrote this on his Facebook wall: “FocusVision 2015/16 continues,very happy to score my first goal on the opening day of the season against Al Ansar which ended 1:1..Hoping to getting all three points in our next game”.
